About me
Hi, I’m Molly — For nearly a decade, I’ve helped artists, nonprofits, unions, and small businesses bring their ideas to life with clear visuals, strong branding, and social media that actually feels authentic and human. Through my work with clients I’ve supported the winning of contract campaigns, the awarding of grants, and a whole lot of growth. Whether it’s a logo, a website, or a publication, I love finding the balance between creative polish and down-to-earth connection.
That’s why I started designing: to make the process less intimidating and a lot more fun.
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me gallery hopping through NYC, writing a review of a new exhibition, or in my studio painting.
FAQs
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes! Every project starts with a free consult so we can talk through your goals, your timeline, and what package (or custom plan) makes the most sense for you.
How does your pricing work?
Most projects are billed at $35/hr with a $70 minimum, but I’ve built clear tiered packages for logos, branding, websites, and social media so you know what to expect and can pay based on what’s delivered instead of stuck looking at the clock. Larger or custom projects can be scoped out with an estimate before we begin, with clear benchmarks, budgets and deadlines.
How does payment work?
For most projects, after the consultation when we choose to move forward, I ask for a 50% deposit upfront to reserve time in my schedule, with the remaining balance due upon completion (before final files or websites go live). For smaller hourly projects, I bill in full after delivery.
For ongoing monthly retainers, payment is due at the start of each month.
Rush projects or unusually complex work may require a different payment schedule, which we’ll discuss before starting.
What about ongoing work?
I take on a limited number of ongoing clients for monthly support. These retainers start at $300/month and can cover social media management, newsletters, web updates, campaign design and more. I love building relationships with clients so I can support their goals long-term, and am currently accepting new clients.
What if I need something that’s not listed?
No problem—just ask! I take on custom projects often. If it’s in the realm of design, writing, or digital storytelling, chances are I can help.
How long will my project take?
Timelines depend on the size of the project, but in general:
Logos: 1–2 weeks (including revisions)
Branding packages: 2–4 weeks
Squarespace websites: 3–6 weeks depending on page count and content readiness
Social media and print projects: 3–5 business days for smaller items, 1–2 weeks for larger campaigns or booklets
Rush projects may be possible—just ask! Typically the rush fee is 25%, but the specifics are always part of the consultation.
Do I have to provide my own copy?
Not necessarily. If you have copy ready, I’ll work with it. If not, I can draft or refine text for graphics, newsletters, and websites as part of the project. Full content creation is also available if you’d like me to handle everything from visuals to writing. If I am drafting copy for your project, keep in mind this will be added to the cost as writing comes with its own research, revisions and strategy.
Do you only work with artists and nonprofits?
Artists and nonprofits are my sweet spot, but I also work with small businesses and institutions. If your project is mission-driven and you care about thoughtful design, we’ll be a good fit.
Do you design outside of Squarespace?
Squarespace is my go-to because it’s user-friendly and easy for clients to maintain after launch. That said, I can also support projects on other platforms if needed.
What’s not included in your pricing?
Hosting fees, Squarespace subscriptions, stock photos, and printing costs are billed separately by their providers. I’m happy to guide you through those logistics though
