Website Design and Management

I design and manage websites that are clean, functional, and tailored to each client’s needs. Working in CMS platforms like Squarespace, Wix, Cargo Collective, and Webflow, I build sites from the ground up or revise existing ones for artists, nonprofits, and businesses. I offer full beginning-to-end creation, as well as audits and design-only wire framing for those with web managers. Beyond design, I provide ongoing management—updating content, maintaining portfolios, and ensuring sites remain current—so clients always make a strong first impression online.

Artist Portfolio Site

This website was designed for a mid-career artist whose practice spans painting, installation, animation, sound, and large-scale public projects.

The challenge was to create a site that highlighted the full expanse of her work while placing emphasis on conceptual and ongoing projects. Designing the site together felt like curating an exhibition, shaping not only how the works were presented but also how the research and ideas behind them could be experienced. The resulting design reads more like a fine arts publication than a conventional slideshow, reflecting the artist’s deep engagement with research, exploration, and experimentation.

Research Conference Site

For the annual Philadelic conference, I designed a website that balances contemporary style with a polished, professional presentation.

The goal was to engage site visitors and promote interest in the event by reflecting the innovation and expansive thinking at the heart of the conference. The result is a site that is clear and professional for attendees, partners, and donors, easy to update annually, yet visually dynamic enough to capture the creative energy of the event itself.

“ Molly has been a pleasure to work with. She created the beautiful website and branding package for the Penn Psychedelics Collaborative at the University of Pennsylvania, allowing us to showcase our work and cultivate connection with the broader community. She's also highly communicative, organized, and timely, allowing for seamless flow from idea to form. I couldn't recommend working with her more!”

Research Collaborative Site

For Penn Psychedelics Collaborative, I designed a website and branding system that communicates professionalism while incorporating subtle
creative accents.

The goal was to create a platform suited for partnerships, donors, and research audiences without cliché design like mandalas, mushrooms, or neon. Instead, the identity uses a contemporary layout, refined typography, and a thoughtful color palette to reflect the rigor of their research alongside the creativity and innovation that define their work.

“ Working with Molly Burt-Westvig during my time as Associate Director for the Penn Psychedelics Collaborative and as organizer of the PhilaDelic Conference was an absolute asset to our team. She brought a seamless blend of creativity and operational clarity, always delivering high-quality design, communications, and branding work on clear and reliable timelines. From marketing materials to our website, her contributions were essential in establishing a professional and recognizable brand presence where our team otherwise lacked experience. She consistently exceeded expectations, pairing an artistic eye with the ability to execute efficiently, an invaluable combination.”
